DETAILS
Ten members of the Zoo’s Teen Conservation Discovery Corps (CDC) and four zoo staff embarked on the adventure of a lifetime - an unforgettable Eco Expedition to the wild heart of Alaska. Over ten incredible days, they kayaked among awe-inspiring glaciers, rafted wild rivers, hiked remote wilderness, and searched for wildlife while studying the region’s ecosystems and geology. Along the way, they explored rugged landscapes, learned directly from nature, and experienced one of Earth’s last truly wild places. Join us to learn more about the Zoo’s CDC Program and to hear these young explorers share their stories, photos, and discoveries from this extraordinary journey. This program is free to attend; donations to support the 2026 CDC Expedition are welcome.
